E.ON employees send hampers to vulnerable and elderly

Energy company E.ON is collecting food and toiletry items from employees to send as Christmas hampers to vulnerable and elderly people in the Nottingham and Coventry areas as a special Christmas treat.

Four E.ON sites - three in Nottingham and one in Coventry - are acting as centres where the food and toiletry donations are being collected. The Christmas hampers will be made up by the E.ON Community team and passed on to Age Concern, who will send them out to the vulnerable and elderly in time for Christmas.

Sarah Green, E.ON Employee Involvement Manager, said: "This is a great opportunity for us to support our community partners and engage employees in giving something back to the vulnerable and elderly residents of local communities at what can be a very lonely time for them.

"The Idea is to make this Christmas more of a festive season for people who can't afford expensive presents or are all by themselves. We want to let them know that E.ON employees care about them this Christmas time."
