E.ON launches winter gas guarantee - offering customers the cheapest gas bills this winter
E.ON, one of the UK's leading energy companies, is guaranteeing1 that customers who take a new product launched today (MON) will have the cheapest gas bills this winter.
The new product, called WinterGas, would save an average customer £77 a year compared to the average UK Standard gas bill2 and guarantees1 customers will have the cheapest gas bills until 31 March 2010.
Jim Macdonald, Commercial Director of E.ON's Retail Business, said: "At a time when money is tight for many of our customers and when we're already beginning to see the nights getting colder, WinterGas is reassuring news for bill payers.
"Most people use over two thirds of their gas in the winter3 so we're delighted to be able to offer the cheapest gas bills on the market."

Cheapest gas bills for gas used during the winter. Compared to the other major energy suppliers Standard plans: British Gas, npower, ScottishPower, Scottish and Southern and EDF. WinterGas does not have any cancellation fees.
