“Playing the villain” pays off for E.ON’s Vincent

When Vincent Lowe isn’t helping customers of energy company E.ON in his role as a business customer service operative, he’s a regular at the St Margaret’s Players in Aspley in Nottinghamshire, where he played the villain in last year’s panto.

And, to mark Vincent’s involvement with the Players, E.ON, which owns Powergen, has donated £250 towards the cost of props and costumes for some of the club’s youngest members.

“I have to admit that the thing that I’ve enjoyed most since I joined the Players last year was playing the villain in the panto – but I never expected getting booed every night would mean getting a donation for the kids in the club,” said Vincent.

“We’ve got a pretty active children’s section, with about 25 six- to 14-year-olds being actively involved, so this money will be gratefully received.

“And, who knows, maybe I won’t be booed quite so much if I play the villain in this year’s panto.”

Powergen is part of E.ON, the UK’s largest integrated power and gas company. E.ON supports its employees by recognising and rewarding the voluntary activities undertaken in their own time.
