Scroby Sands Information Centre to stay open for Easter holidays
E.ON UK’s Scroby Sands Information Centre will be keeping its doors open for longer than usual to give visitors and holidaymakers an extra chance to learn more about Great Yarmouth’s green power landmark.
The centre, which is located on the Esplanade, will be open seven-days-a-week from Saturday (MAR 31) between 10am and 4pm, until April 17th.
The centre attracts more than 30,000 visitors a year who come to enjoy the interactive activities and exhibitions.
Jon Beresford, Asset Leader at E.ON UK for Scroby Sands, said: “We’re delighted that the Information Centre has become so popular.
“The wind farm has become a real local landmark and, every year, we have people of all ages from all over the world visiting the Information Centre to find out more about how it works and how it was built.
“The centre’s popularity continues to grow, and we look forward to welcoming more visitors, especially schoolchildren and their parents, over the Easter break.”
Visitors to the Information Centre will find details of how the wind farm was built, together with a range of interactive displays and information about energy and energy efficiency.
