12 November 2009 11:03 Central Networks volunteers brighten up playtime at Kegworth school

A team of eager volunteers from Central Networks Regulatory team recently spent a day transforming the infant's playground at Kegworth Primary School.

The team spruced up the playhouse and surrounding fences with bright coats of paint and added colour to cheer-up a seating area by planting winter pansies. Brambles were cleared in the garden and willow dens tidied to give the children even more places to play.

Sarah Thorpe, one of the willing volunteers and a key organiser, said: "I'm so proud of the team and the effort everyone put into this challenge. The team worked extremely well together and there was a real sense of achievement at the end of the day.

"It was very rewarding to be able to brighten up playtime for the pupils at Kegworth Primary and I hope everyone at the school is very happy with the results."

Louise Norris, Head Teacher at Kegworth Primary School, said: "The staff of Kegworth Primary School are delighted with the work carried out by the team from Central Networks. The infant's play area looks so much brighter and welcoming now.

"The team has transformed the area and the children love playing out there. The children themselves said that they liked the new colours and they liked being able to get back into the willow dome to play!"
