Central Networks Press Releases

31 January 2005 00:00 Age Concern’s Aid-Call to take over Central Networks’ Constant Careline service

Central Networks has today (Monday, 31 January 2005) announced that its 1,100 Constant Careline customers will now receive their service from Aid-Call, a subsidiary of Age Concern.

The announcement comes after Central Networks’, which supplied the emergency alarm system in conjunction with West Midlands Ambulance Service, sold part of its business to Aid-Call.

Bob Taylor, Managing Director of Central Networks, said: “Aid-Call is a respected and trusted business which already provides security and reassurance to thousands of elderly people across the country.

“We’re confident they’ll provide the same reliable service to our former Careline customers across the West Midlands.”

The red button Careline pendant, worn by the customer, offers people peace of mind and the reassurance of a 24-hours-a-day 365-day service. If a customer needs help they can simply press the button to get assistance quickly.

“We’re very impressed by the level of customer care Aid-Call offers and we have worked hard to find a company that will ensure our customers will receive the same excellent service they’ve always done,” said Bob.

As a result of the transfer, customers’ equipment will need minor adjustments which will be done, in most cases, through a single phone call. Customers will be contacted by Aid-Call to arrange this but there will be no effect on service levels in the meantime.

Derek Gray from Aid-Call said: “We’re delighted to welcome our new customers from the West Midlands.

“We’ve installed more personal alarms in the UK than anyone else and are relied on by 64,000 customers throughout the country including many charities, local authorities, and residential and nursing homes.

“As part of Age Concern, we’re sure our new customers will trust us to provide care when they need it most.”

If customers have any questions they can call Central Networks on 0121 436 1136 or Aid-Call on 01364 651 555.
