Three lucky children have won a laptop-style learning computer courtesy of East Midlands Electricity.

James, aged five, and Alex, aged 8, from Lincolnshire and Edward, aged 10, from Leicestershire, entered a competition on East Midland Electricity’s kids’ safety website, the Power Discovery Zone, to win their fantastic prizes.

They have each won a Vtech Slim Pad computer, which will allow them to play games, solve puzzles and prepare for their homework.

The Power Discovery Zone is a website designed especially for children and their teachers and includes interactive games, cool projects and quizzes and makes learning about electricity and safety fun.

Jerry Carnell, EME Safety Adviser, said: “The Power Discovery Zone website is a fantastic way for children to learn about the dangers of electricity in a safe and exciting environment.

“The three children have done very well to win their prizes and we hope they enjoy playing with them and visit the website again very soon.”
