04 December 2003 00:00 Emergency road closure in Ilkeston extended for safety reasons

East Midlands Electricity has agreed with Derbyshire County Council to extend the closure of Coronation Road, Cossall in Ilkeston until 0600 tomorrow (FRI).

Coronation Road has been closed since 7pm yesterday (WED) while East Midlands Electricity carried out emergency repairs on a major cable fault.

The work was due to be completed by 7pm today (THURS) but this has now been extended because the kerb replacement work requires more time to allow the concrete to set.

A diversion route has been set up to direct drivers around the road closure.

EME would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused to local road users while the work is carried out.
