01 December 2003 00:00 EME hosts visit from energy watchdog

East Midlands Electricity (EME) has hosted the first visit to a distribution company by senior members of the energy consumer watchdog – energywatch.

Ann Robinson - energywatch chair and Allan Asher - chief executive, spent a day at EME’s Pegasus headquarters where they were given a guided tour by Phil Wilson, Customer Services Manager, before taking part in a series of discussions.

Hosting the event were EME’s Managing Director Bob Taylor, Operations General Manager Mark Saxelby and Paul Eveleigh, Commercial and Regulation Manager.

Bob Taylor said: “Both Ann Robinson and Allan Asher were very interested to see our operations in action and we were delighted to have the opportunity to exchange views on a number of important industry issues.”

Key distribution issues under discussion included simplifying the customer transfer process, the distribution system, the latest Electricity Distribution Price Control review and emergency procedures.
