Eastwood school receives funding for new IT equipment thanks to E.ON employee
Priory Catholic Primary School has been awarded one of the first grants from E.ON's new Employee Community Fund, courtesy of parent and E.ON employee Claire Marquis.
The grant of £2,000 will be used to buy seven laptops for the school, which will benefit all children with the added classroom resource they will provide, as well as improving 1-2-1 tuition, particularly for those with learning difficulties.
Claire Marquis will be presenting the cheque at Priory Catholic Primary, Raglan Street, Hilltop, Eastwood tomorrow [Friday 19th March] at 2.30pm.
Claire, an employee at E.ON's offices in Annesley, said: "I actively support all PTA fundraising which, for such a small school as Priory Catholic Primary, is a struggle at times when we have to raise large sums.
"Having recently raised money for the school's building fund, the PTA is a little ‘fundraising exhausted' and so I'm delighted that E.ON is able to make a difference."
The E.ON Employee Community fund invites applications from employees based in the UK for funding of up to £2,000 for charities and community organisations that support education projects or vulnerable consumers.
